    Hi!

All users that login for the first time gets a ‘none’ wordpress role, this is when I’ve added REGs.
How would I define all users not in any security group to get the ‘subscriber’ role?

    Best Regards

We are currently working on a solution to automatically assign the WordPress role ‘subscriber’ to all members of a security group without a role equivalent mapping.

    Hello fashioncoree,
I took another look at the problem and found a new bug. We try to release a hotfix for that problem as soon as possible.

I’m using Version 2.0.13. I’ve created a user with an “Editor” Role and when they login they receive the message “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” When I log in as admin their role is now blank. I again save the user with the “Editor” role and everything is correct. They try logging again and get the same message.

As soon as a user tries to log in their role is removed and is now blank preventing them from accessing the dashboard.

Is this part of the hotfix?

    Thanks,

    Lance

Hi, i seem to get same issue as @rw1007 – users roles are getting set to NULL or blank after upgrading from 2.0.12 to 2.0.13.

    Is this a new bug?

Is the issue the “Clean existing Roles” option on the permissions tab of the NADI settings?

“Clean existing Roles” is a new option we added to provide more security. Everytime you synchronize a user from the Active Directory to WordPress NADI will check if the security groups are mapped to any WordPress roles. With “Clean existing Roles” enabled NADI will automatically remove all current roles of the user and only apply roles mapped via “Role equivalent groups”. If you wish to locally assign roles to users you have to disabled the “Clean existing roles” option. We added this feature so admins can make sure that users who are removed from lets say for example the Active Directory “WP-Admin” security group (which is mapped to the WordPress role Administrator), also lose their permission inside the WordPress environment on the next Sync to WordPress.

Thanks medan123 for prompt reply! Unfortunately it seems i am unable to disable this setting. If i uncheck “Clean existing Roles” and save settings successfully, then refresh the settings, the options is still enabled. Also – was it a good idea to have this setting enabled by default? – suspect it might cause issues similar to mine for several users.
    Cheers
