    @adamrbrown

    don’t i need to connect to the databse or something ? or take over a sesssion , cause when i just put

    <?php global $userdata;
          get_currentuserinfo();

          echo('Username: ' . $userdata->user_login . "\n");
          echo('User level: ' . $userdata->user_level . "\n");
          echo('User ID: ' . $userdata->ID . "\n");
    ?>

    in a file it doesn’t do anything. so i need a session / db connection?

    i am reading about cookies , how do i get the username out of the cookie 🙂 $_COOKIE[???

    got it to work , needed the blog header 🙂 tnx
