# @username get's a notification

 * I would love and would donate to this plugin, if you could offer the following
   in your plugin. The [@username](https://wordpress.org/support/users/username/)
   link would work as it does already linking you to the profile page but also send
   the [@username](https://wordpress.org/support/users/username/) a notification
   by email saying “you were mentioned in xpost” see that post LINK TO POST
 * something like that…
 * This plugin does that but is not really updated and does not work with ajax commenting

 * OK, this is not quite a feature that fits to the main idea of the plugin. But
   I understand the background of your question and I agree with you.
 * The main problem I see is that #hashtags and [@usernames](https://wordpress.org/support/users/usernames/)
   are processed by hashtagger every time you save a post and I think you don’t 
   want to send a mail every time.
 * I’ll think about this. Feel free to make a suggestion.
