 * Hello,
 * It seems, that when using your front end registration form, I can successfully
   create a user with username containing spaces and capital letters. Is it intended
   behaviour or a bug? Isn’t it against WP rules?
 * Thanks for your reply

 * Hi [@blackeye0013](https://wordpress.org/support/users/blackeye0013/),
 * From what I searched online, I didn’t find any official WordPress document that
   says it’s prohibited to use spaces and capital letters in the username. The only
   thing is that when this username is saved in the database, WordPress automatically
   strips it of spaces and makes it lowercase, but this doesn’t impact how the user
   should log in to the site. They still need to log in with the exact username
   they’ve chosen, in this case, with spaces and capital letters in it.

 * Hi [@alexandrubodea](https://wordpress.org/support/users/alexandrubodea/), it
   seems you are right. At least I’ve tested the native WP registration with PB
   disabled and it behaves the same way, so it’s definitely not PB related.
 * I was just suprised when I saw some clients used usernames with spaces and capitals,
   somehow I wasn’t expecting that. I was too lazy to search the web and asked ChatGPT
   about it and it lead me astray. I tell everyone not to take ChatGPT answers for
   granted and now I was tricked myself 😉 My fault.

 * No worries 😀
 * Glad to hear the issue has been clarified, and I hope you have a great and productive
   week ahead!
