user_nicename custom updated while not needed

    Hi,

    I’m using the latest version of the plugin in Spanish and must have it always on for the website to work. The problem is very annoying and the latest update doesn’t solve it:

    Everytime I update the author profile, for example to update a photo, the author profile becomes unnaccesible since the plugin recreates the Author Slug althoug it’s filled up already, taking accents in names and capitals and adding the second family name, instead of the expected action, which is no action! Leave the field as it was.

    Example: an author could be named “Ángel Fernández Martínez” and the custom field be “angel_fernandez”, if I update the user profile, the Author Slug becomes “Ángel_fernandez Martinez” with space between the 2 names.

    I wrote some additional tests for this, and I can’t get this issue to occur. Are you saying that the text in the custom field changes from angel_fernandez to Ángel_fernandez Martinez when you update the user’s profile?

    What are you plugin settings? What plugins are you using? Specifically, plugins that center around users.

    I still need these questions answered.

    I just got finished looking into the plugins you listed.

    Your issue is with the Hide Username Front Side plugin, not my plugin. In fact, because of the way Hide Username Front Side works, my plugin will rarely have any effect on the author slug.
