For ages we have used this plugin to link foto galleries from flickr to our WordPress site. Because of corona the use of the site was low, hence the updates of plugins also. Today we updated Photonic and found out that the galleries in all our posts are no longer visible because a User_ID is required (or so it seems) in the tag. Is there a way to run the latest version of this plugin (roll back froze the site), without having to edit all our posts (that is probably a 1000 or more) one by one?
I think we used 2.43 (or 2.49) until today

    Thanks in advance,
    Marc

The user_id has been mandatory since September 2018, when the Gallery Wizard was introduced in version 2.00. Version 2.43 definitely needed user_id. So I am surprised that you are finding/reporting this now.

There is a very easy way around this – you can set the default user id from Photonic → Settings → Flickr → Flickr Settings → Default User.

    Thanks for your swift reply!
Our user name has been there all the time. So for one or the other reason it is not recognized anymore?

Please show me a page with the error. The link that you provided has several posts, and I cannot figure out which one has an error.

Note that this should not be a user name, rather it is a user id. My user name is sayontan, but my user id is 35553131@N07.

    The site is http://www.rockportaal.nl.
The two most recent posts use a user_ID in the tag/link.
The problem is obviously, that I cannot grant you access to the backend side of the site.
I updated the plug to the most recent one.(roll back froze the site, error 500, no fun)
Our user name is rockportaalnl (https://www.flickr.com/photos/rockportaalnl/) that is exactly what is filled in.
What is not filled in is:
    – Access Token (for Back-end / Server-side Authentication)
    – Access Token Secret (for Back-end / Server-side Authentication)
    Api and Api-secret are filled.

This is a recent article, where a number of flickr albums used/are supposed to show up

And these are the tag/links in that article that we used until now:
    [gallery type='flickr' photoset_id='72177720297302030']
    [gallery type='flickr' photoset_id='72177720297303667']
    [gallery type='flickr' photoset_id='72177720297308683']
    [gallery type='flickr' photoset_id='72177720297303822']`

The problem is obviously, that I cannot grant you access to the backend side of the site.

I wasn’t requesting access to the back-end of the site – in fact, if you offered, I wouldn’t be able to help you. I was merely asking for links on the front-end showing the error.

Our user name is rockportaalnl (https://www.flickr.com/photos/rockportaalnl/) that is exactly what is filled in.

But the instructions at Photonic → Settings → Flickr → Flickr Settings → Default User explicitly say:

If no user is specified in the shortcode this one will be used. Note that this is not the username from https://www.flickr.com/photos/username/, but you can get the user id from Photonic → Helpers.

Are you sure you are setting it at the right place? I am not asking you to define this individually on each gallery. The global setting in the option will require an id in the format 89173104@N03, not rockportaalnl.

    I misunderstood!
Indeed, now all seems to be functioning again. Thanks a lot for your help and patience!
