    Hi Paul,

Actually, the plugin checks only two capabilities: upload_files and edit_post for each media file (attachment) during editing.

It seems, that in your case your role doesn’t have edit_others_posts capability, so user is unable to edit media files that were uploaded by other user. You can learn more about regular post and attachment capabilities in this thread https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/19834

Though, I’m a bit confused by this: “The checkbox is not clickable”. EML blocks checkbox clickability only during upload. So there is possible another problem I can’t grasp right now.

Also, is your version of EML 1.1.2? If so, it would be better to upgrade it first.

    Hey,,

    Thanks for your quick response.

I’ve updated the plugin to 2.0.3 and added edit_posts and edit_others_posts to the user role.

Unfortunately, the checkboxes are still “greyed out”. This means i can see the Media Categories, but i am not able to click them. This is also the case when i upload a new Media file (so not only when i edit other’s media files).

    Greets,
    Paul

Ah, i’ve managed to fix this by adding a few more capabilities:

    – edit_others_posts
    – edit_posts

    Thanks!
