Hi,
Can I know what EM version are you currently using? Upon trying the issue above everything is working fine on my test site. Also, does your user capability edit_locations is enable? settings > general > user capabilities
Have you published the event/location? If not, then a slug isn’t assigned until after you’ve done this for guest submissions. Try previewing it directly from the location record via the admin area.
THanks for the feedback guys.
Plugin Version is 5.2.9
the guest users are a subscriber level and edit_locations is enabled. delete and edit ‘others’ is not enabled.
These events appear under the published section when submitted by guest so i thought they were being published without my intereaction? it certainly seems to… the slug for the event is ok everything works fine and is shown on the website for a non logged in user, but the link for the location just doesn’t save.
i just re-saved the permalink slugs page just for fun, i’ll see if the error comes up next time someone adds an event
thanks for your support
Tom
you also need to make sure publish_events and probably publish_locations capabilities are enabled for subscribers if you want the event/location to be directly published.
Thanks Marcus but i can confirm that those two capabilities are already enabled for subscribers.
unfortunately the problem has not been resolved so i have marked the post as such.
is there any other things i can do explain whats happening in better detail, or to show you first hand?
Hi,
Ok, I was able to replicate this; I’ve let Marcus know about it. should get fixed soon.
btw, just delete my test event.
ahh yes i see! excellent. thanks very much for following through with your help.
cheers!
