# User Submitted Blog Posts?

 * I’m in the process of creating a site in which people can post their ideas for
   video games and how to fix currently released video games..
 * eg. “Man… this would be a great idea for a game!” with elaboration
 * I’d like to have an area seperate of the mainpage which lets any registered user
   post about their idea within certain categories which could be viewed in a main
   area and in specific category oriented views.
 * To elaborate:
 * Mainpage : Site Updates, Information etc.
 * Userpage: Users can post once every X hours with a minimum of X characters while
   relating their post to a predefined category
 * Categories: A page where users can view other ideas based on category of game(
   ie. FPS or RTS or MMORPG)
 * Popularity: Users can view all the user submitted posts via popularity (how many
   times it has been read based on clicking or how many comments it has received)
 * Is this possible on word press? If not… any recommendations on how I can achieve
   this?
 * An alternate way to achieve this would be to let users post within the pages 
   mentioned but to have someone moderate each post before it is able to be viewed
   by frontend users.
 * That would take a lot more work, but might keep it more clutter free…
 * Thinking about it… I think using a forum would be the easiest way to implement
   this… any thoughts?

   this would let ppl submit their post – without even logging into the admin area(
   which I always find scary… to let strangers in:)
 * WP has categories and EVERY post must be in at least one category, by default.
 * The “userpage” thingy doesn’t work in WP.
 * Popularity – there are plugins for things like that (never used them)
