 * Depending what you need to do with that status there are different options.
    
   If you want to show a custom message, you could use an IF statement with the 
   following boolean function: [https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/is_user_logged_in/](https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/is_user_logged_in/)
 * If you want a more sophisticated behavior, like a sidebar login, or a frontend
   account, or a different menu for logged in users, then it’ll be easier if you
   use a plugin.
