# User Specific Categories

 * Hi,
 * I’m creating a new literary blog with several users. I want each person to use
   categories as story titles in so I can organize posts effectively.
 * I’ve done some searching and all I can find are questions about restricting categories.
   That’s not exactly what I want.
 * I want users to be able to create categories as needed. But I don’t want everybody
   to see every category created. I only want them to see the categories they create
   plus some “General” categories I create.
 * Further, I want duplicate categories created by different users to remain unlinked
   to each other. It seems like category slugs take care of that, I just don’t want
   to lose that feature in the fix.
 * I hope that makes sense. The site is ecririons.com if you want to see how I’m

 * I’ve not personally tried this plugin, however looks like it is pretty robust
   and may do the trick for what you’re after based on what you’ve mentioned above.
   Might be worth taking a look at to see if it fits your needs?
