Is there a way I can allow users to select the resolution? I’d like to allow users with good internet speeds to have high quality, but don’t want to force users with bad internet speeds to wait so they can watch the video.

Edit: I already automatically encode the videos using FFMPEG anyways, so really all that should need to be done is add a button to switch what file is displayed… I would think this should be very easy, please let me know, thanks 🙂

I started testing that feature in June for use with the Video.js player, but there were some problems with Flash playback that I was unable to get around. The JW Player option has basic resolution switching built in. You can follow my progress with this issue on Github https://github.com/kylegilman/video-embed-thumbnail-generator/issues/144

Well that’s a bummer… I can’t spend any money on plugins (especially not $150 a year), and having a watermark makes my work look extremely unprofessional… if you can end up getting that working that’d be amazing, and thanks for the hard work you’re doing 🙂

Version 4.4 of the plugin, released yesterday, includes user selectable resolutions in the Video.js player.
