# User Search Report

 * The User Search Report does not seem to work in that you can change the date 
   range for the report but the results are always the same!

 * Are you perhaps trying to change the date range to a wider range that exists 
   in the data? On my site, the default range has all the data in the logs, so if
   I try to change to range to something that extends further into history, nothing
   happens because there’s nothing to show. If I change the date range to a smaller
   range, it works fine. Could this be the case for you?

 * That is possible as the earliest date it will report is 30th June 2026. But we
   have been using this plugin for much longer. Was there perhaps an update which
   will have wiped the earlier data?

 * No, but check your log settings: there’s a setting that automatically trims the
   logs. That’s good because if you let your logs grow without a limit, they’ll 
   end up slowing your searches. If you want to keep long-time records, you can 
   export the logs regularly.

 * Aha! You are right, it was set to 90 days. Given we are a small Association I
   think a bigger record is fine so have changed it to 365 days.
