Hi Joachim, I am trying to figure out, how this plugin works, and the interaction with the Restrict User Access plugin.
On the sidebar page, I can choose: visibility > “User Roles available in Pro”

But I can also choose one of the access levels in Restrict User Access plugin. And here under “Synchronized Role” I can choose User roles like subscribers and customers?

But the plugin does not show anything in sidebar or footer, where I have dropped a text widget containing an AdSense code. Even without any conditions set and visibility to all users, what can be wrong?

    Regards
    Carsten

Content Aware Sidebars Pro allows you to show/hide widget areas for individual user roles, while the free version supports all the levels you create in Restrict User Access. Even the ones that you sync with a role, yes.

If you don’t add any conditions to the new widget area, it will not be displayed anywhere (i.e. it will be displayed on no conditions).

If you want to display it everywhere, you could add the 404 Page as a condition, and then toggle Negate to ON. That means it will be displayed on all content but the 404 page.

If you want to learn more about conditions, I highly recommend this article: https://dev.institute/docs/content-aware-sidebars/getting-started/display-sidebar-advanced/ (which might be useful for Restrict User Access as well)

If I make conditions for BuddyPress Profiles content, the section is by default set to “All sections”.

If you leave it as it is you would expect to see sidebar content on all BuddyPress profile content. But you don’t.
No sidebar is displayed if you do not select any content from the list.

Problem solved, my mistake, a restriction made in Restrict User access was blocking the display of the sidebar content.
