    Hi,

I’m using the “Page Security by Contexture” plugin to secure my pages so that the one that the USP form is on is restricted to logged in users.

Users with Author rights can see image upload button in the editor and can upload images but right at the end of the upload process there is an error “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

Users with Editor rights have no problems.

Users with either Editor and Author rights can upload images though the media uploader in WP admin.

So despite the upload dialogues appearing to be the same it seems that if uploading via USC I need to have a higher user role.

Any idea why this should be?

    Cheers
    Simon

No idea, but I will take a look during the next update. If you discover any further clues or issues posting them will help. Thanks for the feedback.

Messed around with the DD_Roles plugin creating custom user roles an it appears the user requires ‘Edit others pages’ and ‘Edit published pages’ permissions to upload images via USC. Though not to upload via WP admin.

No idea why, but I suspect the clue is in this post – http://mikekelly.myblog.arts.ac.uk/2013/04/25/tracking-down-a-wordpress-bug/

    I’m using the Attitude theme.

Anyway it seems to work for me at the moment, as my pages are secured I’m not to worried about the slightly relaxed permissions ATM. But curious as to the cause.

    Cheers
