User role stay logged in across multisite

We have recently created a new website on our multisite installation, running on subdomains i.e.

site1.mydomain.com
site2.mydomain.com

There is a user role created for customers as ‘customers’ with basic access but allows them to view a small admin area and maintain their info with us.

Up to now, all of this has occured on site1.mydomain.com

Can I persist this login to site2.mydomain.com, i.e., they log in to site1.mydomain.com, if they browse site2.mydomain.com they are still logged in?
