That’s a good. Love these challenging request. The best approach is to create two local pickups in the backend and add the appropriate zip codes or wildcard it.
There are also some really good plugins out there that I think might do the trick in assisting
Local Pickup Plus
Advance Local Pickup
And some light reading here
Hi @patrickallairmedia,
The Local Pickup Plus plugin comes with such functionality to notify certain recipients when an order is to be picked from a certain location.
You can read more from the documentation, but feel free to create a ticket with us if you have any queries about it.
Thanks.
Thanks @serafinnyc and @abwaita, so I’ve tried local pickup plus and it seems pretty good but doesn’t fully cover what I am trying to accomplish as it only sends out notifications for new order emails.
So currently I am also using woocommerce status manager plugin to create custom status’s and custom emails.
I also have code set up to go directly to the custom pickup status depending on which shipping location they choose so I do get the correct email currently and the status change works correctly as well. I am just running into the issue is that since I am skipping new orders/processing I don’t know how to send a notification email to another email if the Pickup status has been triggered.
The other issue is how to limit status’s and orders depending on the user role. I’ve tried a few codes online but I see that my woocommerce status manager plugin is preventing the codes from working so I feel I need to contact both woocommerce status manager plugin and local pickup plus support to see if they have any suggestions on how to proceed.
But if anyone has any suggestions that would be great, thanks!
Hi @patrickallairmedia,
Getting in touch with the makers of Local Pickup Plus and Order Status Manager sounds like a good next move. They’re created by the same developer so they’ll be able to help with both of these together.
You can open up a new ticket here. Make sure to select Local Pickup Plus or Order Status Manager as the product you’re working with.
