 * I cannot find a hack or a mod for this anywhere but if one exists can someone
point me to it? Here is how it works, users can sign up at /wp-register.php is
there a way of giving the new users a scaled down admin panel and a new directory
is created for the new user?
EX: New user signs up (fred) dir created based
on login name (/fred) and now you can go to [http://www.site.com/fred](http://www.site.com/fred)
   and see freds blog.

 * To tell you honestly, I don’t think I’ve seen a hack for something like that.
   It’s an interesting idea although.

 * When I ran a weblogging site, I would just create a new directory or sub-domain
for that person. Then they would have their own blog. I wouldn’t think that there
would be a way to do it via a script or hack for WP. I would want to do it manually,
just because I’m that way. 😉

 * I would want to do it that way so I dont have to do it manually for each person
on my site that signs up, it would be kinda like a blogging community.

 * From someone that did it for 2 years, even if I did have something that would
add them for me, I wouldn’t want it to put them on my domain, using my bandwidth,
without knowing them and trusting them. You are opening yourself up to a lot
of stuff once you find an automation script that will work. Good luck.

 * You might want to look into b2++.

 * I have multiple blogs and only one will permit a user to register and blog on
it. 🙂 I have it set so I have to approve them before they can blog. I don’t
even have register.php on any blogs except for that one.

 * Wondering if anyone else had tried b2++ as user registration so that users can
have their own blog is what I’m after. With WordPress, in admin, can you set
up mulitple blogs and set users so they can only post in 1 blog?
