User Registration Plugin

    Hello,

    I’m newbie in WP.
    Is it possible or is there any plug in which can be installed on WordPress and users can Sign up and be the members and their membership can be confirmed via email so that they themselves can send new topic in the site? Of course new posts confirmed by administrator and then uploaded on the site.

    Don’t know that you need a plugin for that.

    If you allow Membership – anyone can register in Administration > Settings > General then set the New User Default Role to Contributor (in that same Settings->General screen), that’s all you should need.

    Hello,

    let me explain more.I want to create a new site like http://www.smashingmagazine.com/ in which users can be members themselves and even they can send posts into site so that after confirmation of the administrator of site,they will be shown on the site.

    I even examined contributor and in this term when a user log into his/her account ,he/she can see all information of weblog but it should not be in such a way and user should see only his/her posts not all information.is there any solution to solve such problem?
