user registration and login page

    Hi,

I tried to search for help on this but all I got when searching was this message:

    XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
    Location: http://wordpress.org/search/user?forums=1
    Line Number 127, Column 48:<p class="nav"><a href="/search/user?forums=1&p=2" class="next">Next page &raquo;</a></p>
    -----------------------------------------------^

I am running WP 2.0.5 and as my blog is a private thing (yes, I know it contradicts what a blog should be, but this one is) I use a plugin (Angsuman’s Authenticated WordPress Plugin) to provide access only to registered users.

This works fine but there are two things that I do not really like and the question is, whether these can be changed.

Firstly, if I let users register themselves, is there a way to let them register and then for me to have to authorize them before they can start reading the blog?

And secondly, can I change the log-in page so it gives the name of my site and a short welcome message?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Arni
