    In my experience, authors cant delete each others posts, so no need to worry about that.

    you can make authors pages, search the codex for examples on how to make them. This will allow you to make pages that only house a specific authors posts.

    You should be able to do what you want with the posts, but will need to review Author Tempates and you will probably want to revise it so your main blog page excludes posts–you could make your main page be a static page (see Administration > Options > Reading).

    Thanks, I have something to work with now, off to see if i can get it to work
