# User post deletion ability

 * Hi,
 * is there a way how to allow the editor role user to be able to trash some posts,
   but not permanently delete them from the trash? I find out, that when I disable
   the ability for deleting, it hide the trash but also the ability to send posts
   to trash.
 * I need that the user (editor) will be able to move post to trash but the finall
   deletion could be done only by admin. Is it possible?
 * Thanks for any advice.

 * I’ve just had a look through [Roles_and_Capabilities](http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities)
   and I can’t see any capability defined for emptying trash. 🙁

 * So only solution for me would be to create my own capability for users allowing
   only to move the post to trash.

 * I think so, yes. You could have a look at some of the role management plugins
   but I think they all just hook into the existing capabilities.
