# User not found?

 * This is really a question for the forum here on WordPress.org!
 * I was getting an error on a client’s site. So I registered here to get help. (
   The error magically resolved itself!)
 * However, when I registered I somehow misspelled the username I wanted. So I clicked
   on “View your profile” to see if I could fix it. Alas, no! I’m getting the following
   error:
 *     ```
       User not found.
   
       Back to WordPress › Support.
       ```
   
 * Is there some issue on the forum here?

 * No issues that I’m aware of, however, you cannot change usernames on the forums.

 * Still getting an error when I click “View your profile” (which tries to open 
   [https://wordpress.org/support/profile/jayceorpan](https://wordpress.org/support/profile/jayceorpan)).
   However, when I click on my gravatar (which tries to open [https://profiles.wordpress.org/jayceorpan/](https://profiles.wordpress.org/jayceorpan/)),
   it goes to my profile where I was able to change my name.
 * Personally, I think the developers at WordPress.org are messing with things.

 * The caching system we’re using can cause oddities sometimes, but I can see your
   profile here without any issues right now.
 * Also, I’m one of those developers, and yes, we constantly mess with things. 🙂

 * Oh okay! 🙂
 * It’s working now. The caching system might have been what caused the 502 I got
   earlier.
