You mean User Roles? Like Authors, Contributors, etc?

Okay, marking this as resolved. If you want to elaborate on your request, feel free to do it.

Sorry for the delay – did not realize there was a response.

What I need to do is filter by usermeta [companyID] – a custom field

And allow clients to see only traffic from their company members

    Hi there,

I’m a little confused. Are we talking about custom fields associated to posts:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Custom_Fields

Or extra fields associated to users

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_usermeta

    Thank you for clarifying.
    Camu

I am talking about custom fields associated to users

To clarify – each client on site has “member groups”. The clients need to see traffic stats ONLY for their particular members (users) – not for the entire site. Am desperate to find a way to present clients with only “their” traffic stats vs. that of the whole site.

I understand now, thank you. You’re asking for two separate features: preconfigure some filters that will be applied to all your stats (to restrict them to a group) and the ability to track custom usermeta. Is yours a multisite environment?

I can add both features to my todo list, but I can’t tell when I will be able to implement them. I am working on making WP SlimStat more “modular” so that people enable only the functions they need. And your feature could be a perfect example of module. The database structure is already capable of handling this extra information, though.

    Cheers,
    Camu

Yes, it is a multisite – and I already have the extra meta data (companyID) in the database – using custom registration fields.

I have to have this soon – is it possible another developer working on the project can do this – meaning, I am getting that the plugin is currently capable of it? I am desperate for this functionality. doesn’t seem to be anything out there that even comes close.

Yes, the plugin’s database is already capable of tracking this data, like I said:

The database structure is already capable of handling this extra information, though.

My plate is quite full right now, so you may need to find someone else to implement this for you, if you can’t wait a few months.

    Cheers,
    Camu

PS: a vote for my plugin would be a nice way to say thank you.
