• I’m curious to see how this plugin handles user location, as compared to the BuddyPress Xprofile Field plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-xprofile-location/). That plugin provides a location field to the user profile fields (which can be further extended to mapping members/groups on maps, with other plugins).

I’d like to avoid similar/redundant plugins, if your plugin can do similar, since yours does other useful location things, like location tagging/taxonomy.

I’m not sure it maps…I do support a user location..but no Buddypress integration.

What is your use case exactly?

The use case would be similar to a typical Buddypress/Buddyboss profile field use case, essentially providing a location-type field that can be added to a user profile that the user can complete, and the user’s location be indexed/searchable/mapped.

It would be great to use a similar capability of the location taxonomy/tag for a post/page, but use it for a BP/BB user profile, and then be able to display a page of location tags – either post/page only or user profile only, or both.

As for mapping. Again, it’d be cool to have each post/page location mapped, and the user locations mapped, on map – either singular (like a map in the user profile) or a aggregate map of all geolocated post/page/users.

As it appears now, with Simple Location, I can achieve it for post/pages, but not as readily for BP/BB user profiles. Thus it’d be “redundant” to have two “location” plugins, yours and BP Xprofile Location Field; and would be ideal if yours could do both (if it can be made to, within reason)
