 * Is there any simple way of validating emails or users? I had a rather strange
   experience with a user today and would like to know if there’s any simple of 
   authenticating email addresses.

 * Not really. You can check if an email LOOKS real, but you can’t really check 
   if [me@example.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/user-email-validation/me@example.com?output_format=md)
   is really me or someone pretending to be me.
 * What kind of ‘strange’ was it?
