User can’t upload media

    Hi folks!

    First of all, great job! I’m using the free version and I think that this plugin is great.

    I’m having an issue regarding upload media.

    I created a role with restrictions to a collaborator, who can edit posts, but not delete or publish it.

    The problem is that he can’t upload media. That is right?

    Please, what I’m doing wrong?

    Hi,

    Does role has ‘upload_files’ capability?

    Hi, Vladimir.

    Thanks. I did put the option “Unfiltered upload files”, but not “Upload files”.

    And now, I noticed that when I try to create an event using EventOn plugin I can’t choose a category to the post. The checkboxes are blocked.

    On usual posts everything is fine.

    The options available to EventOn on Role User Editor are:

    Delete eventons
    Delete others eventons
    Delete private eventons
    Delete published eventons
    Edit eventons
    Edit others eventons
    Edit private eventons
    Edit published eventons
    Publish eventons
    Read private eventons

    Can you help me?

    Generally WordPress allows to select category to anyone who can edit post.
    I can say nothing about EventOn. May be it use some special permission for that. May be it’s a conflict with some other plugin. It’s better to ask support from EventOn developer.

    Just in case, does this role has ‘edit_posts’ capability?

    Yes. The “Edit Post” is enabled, as “Edit Eventon” too.

    I understand your position. Even when I tried to use default role EDITOR adding the EventOn features I can’t choose a Category.

    It is strange because the other EventOn features are in Role User Editor.
