I turned on “Enable Blog in “https://fommoai.wpengine.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=pm_blog_settings” and left everything as default.

It wasn’t obvious that a member could create a blog post, but I found a page called Submit New Blog Post with [profilegrid_submit_blog]. I assumed that a new tab would be created in their profile, but there is nothing there.

The user received an email that the post was waiting for approval.

The admin did not get an email, nor can I find any place for the admin to approve blog posts, and no post was created in the normal blog posts section.

I found another page called https://fommoai.wpengine.com/user-blogs/ with [profilegrid_user_blogs] and it does have the post listed, but when the admin clicks on it, they recieve a message “

This page doesn’t seem to exist.

It looks like the link pointing here was faulty. Maybe try searching?

How is this supposed to work? The only help I can find on it just shows how to turn it on, not how it works.

    Hello @idougal,

Once you enable the option “Enable Blog” from “ProfileGrid >> Global Settings >> User blogs” in the dashboard, a user will be able to add the new blog post from front end. You may configure the default blog post status added by user from here as well. You may enable the email to administrator on new post submission using the option “Notify Admin” from above settings.

Once a user submit blog post, it will be added to custom post type “profilegrid_blogs” and administrator can view these blog posts from “User Blogs” in the dashboard.

Could you please check blog post after saving the permalink settings on site. Please refer to the following steps:

    1) Login to WordPress dashboard, go to “Settings >> Permalinks” menu .

    2) Save the settings once and then check the blog post.

For more details on the blog posts, please visit the link : https://profilegrid.co/create-front-end-blog-posts-wordpress/

    Thanks.

Saving the permalinks allowed me to view the blog without an error.

It would be nice if the user blogs was inside the profile grid menu on the dashboard because it is associated with Profile Grid. I had no idea that it had been created or to look for it there.

Is there a way to put an “add new blog post” link in the blog profile tab?
