Thank you very much for your feedback. I really appreciate it and understand your response, but let me briefly explain what this is all about.
For some time now, we’ve been conducting resource-intensive scans for our free users, which are essentially paid for by our premium users. As we approach the 2-million mark for free users and it appears that more and more of these users are running extensive scans, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to maintain both availability and affordability for all users.
Initially, we offered a free, local scan—but this wasn’t ideally suited for all WordPress configurations, which is why we’ve now switched to a hybrid model that includes scans for registered users as well as an advanced website scan provided by a third-party vendor—though this comes with costs that depend directly on the complexity and depth of the website.
It’s still free—and you can continue to use everything as usual—but some additional manual adjustments may be necessary.
As I said, I understand your reaction—but ultimately, we’re giving you a choice: Either pay a modest service fee of EUR 35 for one year of protection, or manually review 50 posts, which should meet your needs.

I appreciate the response; very informative. My opinion remains the same, and my place of work will be moving to a different solution henceforth; but that’s helpful info for anyone coming across this review, so that they can make a better informed decision.

@richardlampitt and @aahulsebos, the claim “…the latest versions are no longer enough to even satisfy minimum legal requirements…” seems to be left hanging.
Care to elaborate Richard, so other users could better understand what you mean? I really have no idea.
