    After update to v4
    – Discarded most of community made translations
    – A lot of bugs and problems
    – Installing another plugin (Monster Insights) without consent
    – +50 SQL queries per page/post added.

Can dig a little more, but -1 star for every list item

    Hey @fierevere,

Thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it.

I’d love to address each of the points you have here and dialog with you about them:

    – Community translations

With our version 4 update we listened to extensive user feedback and in response we worked to make our settings simpler and easier to use. After completing the new version, but before it launched, we realized the impact that this would have on the community translations and we had our new version professionally translated into over 20 languages. Since the launch we are continuing to have our plugin professionally translated into additional languages to reduce the burden of this major update on the volunteers of wordpress.org. If there is a specific language you are not seeing as translated, let me know and I’ll take a closer look.

    – Bugs and problems

We worked to address every single bug/problem that has arisen since we launched 5 months ago and we have resolved all of the ones that were reported. If there is something in particular that you are referring to, we would appreciate it if you could open a support ticket so that we can make sure it gets addressed.

    – Installing MonsterInsights

MonsterInsights is only installed if the option to install it is checked during the onboarding wizard, or if you use the install link from the webmaster tools settings. We do not, and would not, ever install plugins without user consent.

    – Additional Queries added

With our new version we introduced custom tables to store SEO data in as opposed to storing/pulling that data from postmeta which is highly inefficient like some other SEO plugins do. With this new schema format we will be able to optimize the performance of our plugin far more than other plugins will be able to do over time as we are able to release new versions that take advantage of this. Additionally, it is also important to note that with any standard WordPress caching plugin active the performance of our plugin is negligible.

If you like, you can also reach out to me directly using the contact form on our website and I will be happy to personally respond and address any additional concerns or feedback that you may have.

    -Ben
