 * I have basic to intermediate skills in WP. I managed to get the basic function
of the Title Attribute working to reveal a series of collapsed galleries on my
site. I built the site using WP Bakery Page Builder (formally Visual Composer)
and had to use the “Classic Mode” text editor to insert the short code, because
each time I tried to use the Backend Editor to insert the short code the collapse
function would not work. That’s to be expected I suppose. The problem is that
ANY subsequent edits on any _other_ element of the page using the Backend Editor
in WP Bakery breaks the collapsed elements of the Title Attribute, reveling the
hidden content, a useless trigger, and reveling the [/expand] tag in plain text
as well. I’m just about ready to pull the trigger on Collapse-Pro-Matic, but
if I’m unable to use C-P-M in the WP Bakery environment I may have look elsewhere.
I don’t mind spending the money, if only for the support it would bring. Any
   advice?

 * Hmm, maybe some more details on your setup:
 * What sort of element are you entering the shortcode into?
    Are you spanning the
shortcode across multiple content elements, or is the expand shortcode all in
a single content element? What exactly is meant by ‘Classic Mode’ Text editor?
Do you mean the standard (non-page-builder) editor? Which version of Visual Composer/
   Page Builder are you using?
 * We have tested this on many visual composers, including Page Builder and the
collapse shortcodes should work without any issue. We’ll get you sorted out.
 * If you did decide to upgrade to pro, yes, the support would more than cover this
issue. We would log on to your site and make sure the issue is fixed in very
   short order.

 * Thanks. I decided to support you and your work, so bought the pro version. I’m
using the latest version of WP Bakery (formally known and Visual Composer) There
are 3 versions of editing… the “Front End” the “Back End”, and the “Classic”.
The classic is more or less a text editor, where I can include the short code.
If I save my work in the classic editor all C-O-M and C-P-M works. If I go to
the other editors and save my work, my shortcode to expand a gallery of instruments:
   [
   expand title=” …show more instruments… ” swaptitle=”… show fewer instruments …”]
   gets saved as: [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][expand title=” …show more
   instruments… ” swaptitle=”… show fewer instruments …”][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/
   vc_row]
 * Similarly:
    [/expand] is saved as: [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][/expand][/
   vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
 * Whatever the reason, behind the scenes, VC breaks the collapse/expand. I figured
out that I just have to go back to the Classical editor EVERY time I use the
Back or Front End editor and remove the added code. I don’t know if others have
ever had this problem, of if I’m doing some stupid newbie mistake and cobbling
together a work-around, but I’m about 99% happy with the results. The last niggling
little thing is that all elements within the expanded gallery are shifted a few
pilexs to the right, making the margins _just slightly_ off. It’s probably more
likely it’s the responsive coding than C-O-M though.
 * I may log on to your site later and see if I can get help on that last thing.
Thanks for your work though. Collapse-Pro-Matic really works!

 * Ah, ok I think I see the issue.
 * If you have purchased pro, please contact directly at the support channel listed
on the purchase receipt. We’ll handle your issue immediately, however we can
not support pro plugins here on WordPress.
 * It seems that when you are inserting the shortcode, you are not using the wrapping
elements that VC supplies, so it’s auto wrapping things in the vc_row and vc_column
tags, that split the expand shortcode and break it.
 * The solution will be to stick with the front or backend editor and insert the
expand shortcode properly within a content element.
 * We’ll mark the issue as resolved here, but please contact us and we’ll get you
   sorted out in short order.
