Use Sessions No Longer Working

    Previously we had no problem to get use sessions to work by following the setup instructions. However when trying to setup new accounts on use sessions we are now getting the following error message when submitting a test post:

    :null,”summary”:”Your Request Couldn’t be Processed”,”description”:”There was a problem with this request. We’re working on getting it fixed as soon as we can.”,”description_raw”:”There was a problem with this request. We’re working on getting it fixed as soon as we can.

    Please help.

    What is your plugin/API verison?

    Are you posting to a group? if yes, this problem has been fixed in the latest API version 4.4.60. Please go to the Help/Support page and click “[Check for API Update]”

    If Not a group or you will still be getting this error after update, please let me know where are you posting (page, group, profile) and what is your post type (text, image, shared link).

    Changing to latest API version 4.4.60 resolves the issue for page, group and profile posts provided that the xs and c_user values are generated in the incognito window with Facebook in the Classic Mode.

    With Facebook in the New Mode Use Sessions still do not work. Classic Mode will be discontinued in September, so I hope you will have a fix for the New Mode before then.

    Please confirm.

    I have NO idea how you figured out that it still worked in Classic Mode. But it did. At least it’s a temporary work-around.

    I didn’t figure it out myself but was advised by Ludwig Van Normainen to only use the Classic Mode. Interesting that you have also confirmed this work-around.

    My only concern is that Facebook will discontinue the Classic Mode sometime in September, and then we will all have a real problem.

    I don’t understand why Nextscripts hasn’t responded to this ticket because they are obviously aware of this “life or death” issue for the PRO plugin.

    That was related to New Facebook Design transition.

    Most of the issues associated with New Facebook Design were resolved in the API version 4.5.1. Connection with session, postings to Profiles, Pages and Groups as well as “Comments import” should be working now. Please go to the Help/Support page in the plugin and click “[Check for API Update]”.

    Use Sessions with the new Facebook Mode are now working perfectly.
