Definitely an odd one. Not serious unless somebody tries to uses a statement that includes a percentage.

Posting anything by anyone in the comments section, or if I edit a comment while logged in, with the % character results in:
    “Not Found
The requested URL /406.shtml was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

Just posting the % without anything else results in the same problem.

I found some reference to this error message relating to “Im receiving an error 406 message in my web site”. See

Any help would be appreciated. Site: I use shared hosting.

  • Apparently, this was being caused by something called “mod_security rule ID 950107” which was resolved by my host.
