The Advanced Gallery block has Link Settings. To add an external link, select the “custom” option under the “Link To” setting. From there, click on the desired image in the gallery and input the appropriate URL in the designated field.
I’m afraid you don’t understand what I mean. I don’t want to use images from the library or upload but want to add them with external url’s like you see in the core WP Image block to add images from external url’s.
You are talking about already having images in the gallery and linking them to whatever.
That is something else.

This is not possible currently as well as in Gutenberg Gallery block.
What I can suggest is to use Advanced Slider and use an image block to use external links for images.
You can also look for a third-party plugin that does this.

Yes it works through the slider but I really need this in the Gallery block because of layouts etc.
