Use of bridge for woocommerce

Trying to register students for 2 or more courses at once. The documentation says to separate the courese ID with a | . I tried 139 | 184 to add both courses, but the student is not registered in either course. If I use a single course number, then they register in that specific course. Am I using the proper separator for the course ID?
