Support » Requests and Feedback » Use of another feed to update personal blog? Gcast

  • Is it possible to use information from a remote xml feed in order to update a blog at another location? For example: I have this site http://talkingtree.org/jackalope/ which is a podcast. I’m phonecasting my mp3s over at http://gcast.com. My feed over there is http://www.gcast.com/u/cowlishaw/main.xml – I’m trying to find some way to update my home blog automatically with the content from my Gcast feed! I have podpress installed as a plugin, so that is nice. I’m trying to find a way to extract those feed entries though, so I don’t have to manually update each and every post.

Any ideas? Is there any plugins for this?

    Thanks! 🙂

  • You either need a reblogger, like reBlog or FeedWordPress, or you need a custom script built on an aggregator library like magpie.
