Support » Plugin: Add-on Contact Form 7 - MailPoet 3 » Use MailPoet subscription activation link in CF7 email (for double opt-in)

Hello, MailPoet has an option to send a confirmation email with an activation link when using its own subscription form. This is necessary to comply with EU-GDPR.

But when using Contact Form 7, this mail is not being sent and the subscriber is just added to the list.

So I think, first it would necessary to add a subscriber as “unconfirmed” to the MailPoet list with a CF7 form.
Then either send the sign-up confirmation mail by MailPoet, or much better, using the activation link within the email of the CF7 form.

I have tried using the MailPoet shortcode [activation_link]Click here to confirm your subscription.[/activation_link] but it won’t work in CF7. ^^

Also, the [mpconsent-xxx] shortcode does not add any data to the text when used in email, and the [mailpoetsignup-xxx] only gives the list number. 🙁

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

This is great! We are always using the latest releases. 🙂 Very much looking forward.

    Current:
    Add-on Contact Form 7 – Mailpoet 3 Version 1.3.2
    Contact Form 7 Version 5.1.1
    MailPoet 3 (New) Version 3.19.3
MailPoet 3 Premium (New) Version 3.0.43

    Hi there,

My problem is that no email confirmation was sent and the subscriber was not add to the list.

Using all latest versions of Contact Form 7, MailPoet and the add-on.

    Thank you.

Same problem. No confirmation email is sent, and suscribers become suscribed by default.
When will the new update be released??
    Thank you in advance

Please count me in … desperately waiting for the Double Opt-in option, since European Law demands the subsciber´s confirmation to get successfully subscribed!
Can´t wait for the update! 😉

Nice. Our newsletter subscribers are now getting the newsletter confirmation mail sent by MailPoet, according to our settings in MailPoet, and are “unconfirmed” by default.

    Thank you very much!
