• Hi,

I have searched the support boards and haven’t found a similar issue to this, so I hope someone may be able to help me.

I have a website which has advert listings, which users can place an advert themselves and manage. I am using plugins Contact Form 7 with WP Job Manager (Contact Listing) to run this. Currently a user can place many adverts, and the contact form on each listing sends to their email address they used when signing up to the site.

However, we want our users to be able to change the recipient email on the contact form, for each listing. They have a specific email address for each listing.

When creating a listing we have an input field for the preferred email address. We would like this email address field to be used as the contact form recipient for the listing it corresponds to.

I hope this is possible and thanks in advance for your help!
    Heather

  • I am also looking to do this if anyone has any ideas how to connect a Listing Field Email Address to the Contact Listing form?

    I have a similar issue.

I have created a listing and have tested the claim listing function. But I realized that upon claiming the listing, the contact owner email does not direct to the new owner.

Plugin author has suggested I use a hook in to the wpjmcl_update_claim action.

Anyone knows the exact snippet to be placed in the functions.php file?

    *push*

We too need the feature to add a specific email address for the listing that will be used as recepient in the contact form!

    Any news on this?

@codingowl If you add an email address at the bottom of the listing – like this.

    Email: email@email

The contact form you are using should “see” the email address. I used the Contact Form 7* to do this. I wanted visitors to the site to be able to contact listings but not actually read the email address in the listing so I used an “WP Mailto Links” plugin to disguise the plain text version. This means that all emails sent using the contact form are tagged so the listing owner knows the source of the traffic. * It may work differently if using Ninja or Gravity forms – I didn’t test those.

In my view you don’t need to wait for anything – just add the email address, use Contact form 7 with this plugin and you are done.

I haven’t tried this but it may also work if you add email as a custom field and keep it hidden off the listing page.
