Support » Plugin: a3 Lazy Load » Use Lazy Load an Magic Fields 2 Pictures

  • Hey,

just wanted to thank you for this great plugin. Decent work!

Only one question: I still use Magic Fields 2 on some pages and wondered how can I integrate the lazy load feature here? I searched for many hours and tried different ways but didn’t manage to get it to work.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi @niklasbuschner

I just search for the Magic Fields plugin on WordPress and looks like it has been removed – I find a Magic Fields Toolkit plugin – That plugin is no longer supported and has not been updated in over 2 years.

It does have a link to a Magic Fields 2 plugin – but the link redirects to search which means it is removed.

I then go to the Magic Fields website and it appears that active development of the plugin stopped in December 2012 Their Git repo shows that the Magic Fields script is only tested for compat up to WP version 4.2.2

I’d suggest for no other reason than security that you should stop using that script.

Using old unsupported scripts with WordPress makes any site very insecure and is just asking for trouble, as indeed does running older versions of WordPress itself.

    Hey Steve,

thanks a lot for your reply. I will then soon swith to something else.

But could you please tell me how do I add the lazy load functionality to statically embedded images which are placed directly in the source code as img elements?

    Greatly appreciate your answer!
