• I installed the All In One Events Calendar plugin from the admin console of my WordPress site, and my site dropped off the web immediately. My admin console locked up, as well.

The only path to recovery was to use my FTP client to delete the plugin folder.

The plugin says that it is compatible with version 4.0, but it clearly is not.

  • This could be due to any number of reasons.

Plugin conflict, theme conflict, file permissions or even simply that your PHP memory limit is way to low.

Unfortunately without error logging turned on for the site in question, you’ll never know.

I am using All In One Event Calendar on several sites, all updated to WordPress 4.0 and all of them work fine. Guess there might be a conflict with one of the other Plugins installed – or PHP memory limit as cefiar mentioned.
