Support » Plugin: Event Tracking for Gravity Forms » Use drop-down select value rather than label

    Hi there,

    My form uses the output from a drop-down select field as the GA event label e.g:

    {Select Occupation:7}

    However the plugin seems to return the option label rather than the option value, for example the following code would return ‘First Option’ to the GA event label:

    <select>
        <option value="1">First Option</option>
    </select>

    I just wondered if this is this the intended behaviour, or if it is possible to choose between option label and value?

    The reason I ask is that the option label needs to be descriptive and properly formatted as it’s what users read whereas the event labels I like to use in GA are short and contain no punctuation characters making them easier to track and analyse in GA. This is more easily achieved using the option value as users don’t see it.

    Many thanks,
    Mingis.
