Use custom post type instead of 'latest post'?

    Greetings,
My theme uses a custom post type called ‘listings’, created like any post or page. It’s critical to the theme that listings are used, not posts or pages.

How can I change the ‘latest posts’ tab to show an author’s recent listings?

    Thanks in advance 🙂

Don’t you have that option in Tools > Fancier Author Box > Display settings?

If not, then it must be that your theme doesn’t register custom post types using best practices and you should try asking the theme developers for help.

    Hi Dragan,
I see an option to show the box in Listings, yes, and the theme is by Elegant Themes (so best practices are probably being followed).

The URL (sorry, forgot the first time!) is daytrippable.com (click on any place and scroll down to the ‘Latest Posts’.)

To rephrase, authors write listings, not posts. The ‘latest posts’ tab is pulling in posts, and I’m hoping it can pull in listings as well. How? 🙂

Oh sorry, I didn’t understand you the first time. I see what you want now.

That’s not how the plugin works, so I can’t help you there. This is really not a support question, but one related to extending its functionality. I suggest you try to find help on http://jobs.wordpress.net/
