USB install – 5 minutes is now abut 30 mins and just WordPress logo on screen

I followed the instructions at the above and so far had had no issues. I have now completed the form at the beginning of the install – and now just have blank web page save for the wordpress logo? what am I doing wrong? I was so pleased with myself up until this point – I am running windows 7.
