• Hello,

I like Simple Lightbox and would like to use it with a plugin called “Justified Image Grid” that I’m using to render gallery thumbnails. It supports custom lightboxes but I’m not sure how to configure it to use Simple Lightbox.

Here is a screenshot of the available options I have in the configuration of Justified Image Grid:

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, as long as the plugin follows WordPress’ guidelines, its image links should be displayed in SLB’s lightbox without any custom attributes required.

However, if the images are not being displayed in SLB’s lightbox when clicked, the plugin may be doing things differently. I searched in the Plugins directory and did not find any plugins called “Justified Image Grid”, so if you can provide a link to the specific plugin you are using, then I would be glad to take a closer look.

Also, to ensure that there are no other issues preventing SLB from functioning normally on your specific site, please provide a link to a page that exhibits the issue you are experiencing and I would be glad to take a look at that as well.

Hello and thanks for your help.

Justified Image Grid is a paid plugin and no free/eval version is available unfortunately. It can be purchased on ThemeForest and its homepage is https://justifiedgrid.com/

The plugin has a number of options for different lightboxes, including an option “custom” (which supposedly needs the settings adjusted as shown in the screenshot I previously shared), or “none”, where the thumbnails link directly to the image file. I tried “none” but Simple Lightbox doesn’t seem to catch that, so I assumed I will need to adjust the “custom” settings (but don’t know how, and which link rel/class to enter).

    Thanks
    Alexander.

Hi, thanks for the link. I’ll see if I can get access to the plugin to take a closer look, but as a paid plugin, there is unfortunately no guarantee as it is up to the other plugin’s developer.

In the meantime, as previously noted, a link to a page that exhibits the issue you are experiencing would be very helpful in evaluating any compatibility issues between the plugins.

    Thanks.

    Thanks again.

Unfortunately I don’t have a staging site and I’d have to deactivate Carousel (which I’m using right now) to get SLB to work so I can’t leave it like that on my live site for testing purposes.

Here’s a portfolio that uses Justified Image Grid, but alas, with Carousel at present: https://www.alex-kunz.com/portfolio/malpais-badlands/

    Thanks
    Alexander.
