• Hi all,

I am making this post regarding the key feature introduced in WordPress 2.9 “Carmen” that lets you upgrade multiple plugins at once if updates are available.

Don’t you think it’d be much better to have the “Update All” button/link at “PLUGINS > INSTALLED > UPDATES AVAILABLE” instead of TOOLS > UPGRADE” ?

I needed to upgrade 4 plugins after I upgraded to WordPress 2.9 *via the Dashboard* so didn’t get a chance to see the Tools > Upgrade tab! before I had almost gone crazy looking for the feature along with other plugins options.

Please consider making this change in the next maintenance release (or sooner! 🙂 to enhance usability..

    Regards,
    Abhinav Sood..

If someone upgrades WordPress right from the DashBoard and has some plugins waiting to be updated – he’s most likely going to miss the “Upgrade All” button/link under the Tools > Upgrade section.

In fact, even if one upgrades WordPress to 2.9 from Tools > Upgrade tab – there are hardly any chances one would return to the Tools > Upgrade section after a successful upgrade and find the bulk plugins upgrade feature!

I think it’d be much better and sensible to have the “Upgrade All” feature inside the “Plugins >Installed > Upgrade Available” area !

    +1

It took me a google search to find it.

It was supposed to be there, but got forgotten.

Trac ticket on this is here: http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/11542

I knew this feature was supposed to be available, but darned if I knew where to look for it when it wasn’t anywhere near the Plugins folder.
