 * I have my pages setup
 * [http://localhost:8888/my](http://localhost:8888/my) site/?page_id=10
 * now this is a static page and will not change so I want to change it to
 * [http://localhost:8888/my](http://localhost:8888/my) site/contact.php
 * I can do it with the .htaccess file but wondered if there is another way or module.
   To be honest I expected this to be built in but if it is I cannot find it.

 * Why not just trying “permalinks” under “settings”? I think that if you make them“
   pretty”, your problem will ‘automatically’ be solved.

 * That would work however none of the options really suit as these are pages not
   posts.
 * I really need to use the page title so
 * [http://localhost:8888/my](http://localhost:8888/my) site/?page_id=10
 * becomes
 * [http://localhost:8888/my](http://localhost:8888/my) site/contact.php
 * I think this may be a .htaccess fix as permalinks options add the month/date 
   and other stuff I do not want.

 * I have the permalink /%id%/%postname%/ a page comes out as /sitename/pagename
   you can add the .php to your permalink if you prefer.
