Urls pretty, but not so bright

    I have pretty urls, but they don’t work. If you click on a post title, you get a 404. If you click on a “June 2006” you get a 404. It’s at angelaharms.com/blog.

    So I don’t have a clue about .htaccess and because I didn’t realize I needed to chmod the file, I had to edit it myself. I think I probably screwed it up. Can I post it here, so that if any of you speak that language, you can tell me what I screwed up?

    You don’t need to post it here – it’s the same for every WP 2.x version.

    Just delete it (or clean it) and let WP write it =chmod it and then(!) click to update your permalink options in the admin.

    Er, uh… I went looking for the .htaccess and there was nothing there. So I uploaded it, and now it seems to work. Sorry for the false alarm. 🙂

    Thank you very much, moshu. The problem was that it contained other things as well, and I couldn’t remember what those were, so I couldn’t rewrite that part. But as you can see it was WAY user error, so it’s solved now. Thanks again.
