    Hi!
Just recently found your plugin since I was looking for a slider plugin with the option to schedule slides. However I can’t seem to get everything to work quite the way I wish. I have installed the MetaSlider plugin, the MetaSlider Lightbox and the Schedule Slides plugin. I’ve tried every supported lightbox plugin listed on the page for MetaSlider Lightbox, but so far I get the same result every time.

What I am trying to achieve: A carousel slider with simple images that when clicked opens a lightbox/iframe displaying the content from a URL (and not the larger image).

What happens: I can get the lightbox to open and display the image from the gallery just fine. Either that or I get 2 boxes opening up with the same image.
And whenever I try to add an URL to the field it either opens the URL on the same page (bypassing the lightbox option completely), or gives me a lightbox with the error message that content could not be loaded.

I’ve tried a few options, but nothing seems to be working for me. Just recently started out using WordPress and feeling a bit lost atm. Am I missing something to be able to open URLs in the lightbox option?

I have tried disabling other plugins that might be gallery or image related, but nothing has worked so far. I have not tried disabling all plugins and I have not tried with another theme.
    Meta Slider version: 3.18.9

I tried adding a test slider to a new page I created for this purpose; link provided.
(As you can see it either opens the lightbox image just fine for the slides I have not added an URL to, or jumps to the URL in the same page for the slides I’ve tried adding a URL to. The current Lightbox plugin is Easy Fancybox.)

Would be very grateful if anyone could help me out here.

    Hi,

The MetaSlider lightbox plugin acts like a driver that hands off the images to one of the supported lightbox plugins. But if there is a feature you need from the lightbox, the best place to ask for it is on the actual lightbox plugin itself.

You don’t need to add a URL or anything inside the URL box. Instead, under advanced settings you check the “open in lightbox” option.

Hopefully the lightbox plugin handles everything smoothly after that.

Let me know how that works out.

Ah, I see. I understand a bit more of how it works then. Unfortunately I still can’t seem to get my images to open an URL, but at least now I know where to look for whichever setting I’ve configured wrongly. Thanks!

    Hi,

Do you have the slider on a page? I can take a look to see if there are any errors.

Ah, I did have the slider on a page, but have since removed it. But no worries, I’ve actually found another solution that worked quite well for my purposes. Thanks for the offer to help though!
