URL / URI Issues with home page and inside pages (7 posts)

I am currently trying to set up wordpress ready to replace my current blog.

Since I enabled permalinks so I can have SEF urls the following has been happening.

If you go to an "inside" / "Full post" page the URL displayed in the address bar is just fine:

However try clicking the header image to go back to the index and the url changes.

    e.g. try going to http://www.searchgrub.com/wordpress
and you will be sent to

which is another domain on the same hosting account.

I can only think that wordpress is trying to get the base URL or URI from the server and that the server is sending it the stuffthatglows.com address.

Is there anywhere in wordpress source that I can MANUALLY SET the url that should be used.

I have already specified it in the admin etc and even the permalinks page says it will use searchgrub.com. Its just the homepage that seems to keep switching>

ANY QUICK ADVICE is more than appreciated as I have been trying to sort this for hours!

There is something wrong with this address you quoted above:
Even from here if clicked it will take you to the other address. Are you sure no redirects are in action?

That is my problem, that http://www.searchgrub.com/wordpress is rewriting itself as stuffthatglows and i dont know why. I have no redirects in place, all the files are in the wordpress directory and the paths are correct in the admin / sql etc

I think it is the homepage / one fo the wordpress scripts trying to retrieve what the server base url is using a server variable and the server is sending the main domain of stuffthatglows.com instead of the "mapped" domain of searchgrub.com.

I just want to know where in the script I can specify the URL instead of a server variable fetching it from the server. if that makes sense.
