# URL problem

 * Hi, I am trying to get WordPress to use ‘.html’ on the end of links to Pages,
   but it doesn’t seem to work.
 * I have set the permalink custom option to /%category%/%postname%.html but it 
   will only recognise it when I put /%category%/%postname%/ in the browser.
 * Anyone know how to fix this?

 * It’s recommended one end their custom permalinks that way, especially since it
   can cause problems with post pagination as well as feed and trackback links to
   a post. But if one is willing to put up with that…
 * r2d2_r2d2, if you change it to:
 * `/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%.html`
 * Does that work? If so, then see if this plugin solves any problems using %category%:

 * Beyond that, I’m out of suggestions.
